A class based not on choreography or perfect execution but instead on building a deeply rooted foundation upon which to dance this style.
This 5 week course seeks to provide a space to explore what’s happening inside our minds when we try to turn on that “sexy switch” and use this knowledge as a starting point, to get out of our heads and into our bodies. We will use movement, music and saucy dance to navigate this intimate journey.
We will cover;
What “is sexy” and how does that shape our view of ourselves.
Is society stepping into your sexy safe place?
Channeling the energy we feel into the what we want to project.
Overcoming barriers we have built to protect ourselves, to unleash the energy we want to.
Translating the theory into movement
Playing with different energies and how they transfer into dance (Eg dominant/submissive/masc/femme/hard/soft)
Group practices and exercises AND one on one work with Charlie.
Generally being saucy little chickens.
This is a safe space for all genders, but focus will be given to making this a healing space for people who identify as female, non-binary humans, trans people, our queer family and those who are vulnerable.

*** This course marks Charlie’s return to teaching, 7 weeks post Birth by C-section. Charlie is using their extensive dance background, experience as a performer, exotic dancer, delicious Daddy and own journey with the subject to facilitate this course. Whilst there will be music, dancing and basic choreography involved, this is the chance to make the most of a slower pace, take our time and explore the After Dark space outside of choreography. ***
